Over the 5-day event, we bring in incredible speakers from all walks of life to share their wisdom and experiences.
We dive deep into various aspects of leadership, including communication, team building, and understanding how values and beliefs shape our decision-making.
On the business side, we focus on financial literacy, investing (in both property and the stock market), the power of compounding, and entrepreneurship.
We also address critical challenges facing today’s youth, such as social media etiquette, bullying, and peer pressure from peers and the media.
The NextWave Future Leaders Youth Leadership Summit is an ever-evolving program, and no two events are the same as we continue to grow and develop!
Teens aged 13-17 who are eager to develop their leadership skills and embrace new opportunities are the perfect fit for this experience.
Those looking to set goals, build confidence, and explore areas like entrepreneurship and financial literacy will thrive here.
The Summit is ideal for young people excited about making lifelong connections and engaging in fun, hands-on learning. It’s a great opportunity for those seeking personal growth in a dynamic and inspiring environment.
Our youth participants come from all corners of New Zealand, the USA, Australia, and beyond, representing diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
The beauty of NextWave Future Leaders is that when these young people arrive, they leave behind labels like where they live or what their parents drive—they simply get to show up as their true selves.
Each year, our international presence grows, with more young people joining us from across the globe. We’re excited to foster a sense of global unity by bringing together youth from different countries, creating a richer and more connected experience for everyone involved.
Yes, we absolutely do. We’ve had many youth with medical needs attend, and our onsite medics, including a registered nurse, ensure they’re well monitored. In the past, we've even had doctors on our team. Additionally, we’re always within reach of medical assistance if needed.
When it comes to food, we cater to a wide range of dietary needs. Over the years, we’ve welcomed participants with various requirements, including vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free diets, raw foodists, and those with severe food allergies.
We work closely with the venue’s kitchens to ensure all meals are healthy, nutritious, and meet individual needs. If parents or guardians have any concerns, feel free to reach out to Rani Rangimoekau at +64 21 359 481 or [email protected] for any questions or further details.
The cost of the Summit covers your accommodation for all 4 nights and 5 days, along with meals from lunch on the first day through to lunch on the final day. It also includes all course materials, so everything you need for the full experience is provided.
About a month before the Summit begins, all participants will receive a fact sheet outlining what to bring. There’s no need to rush out and buy anything special—you’ll have everything you need to enjoy NextWave's Youth Leadership Summit.
No worries! One of the top things our attendees rave about is the lifelong friendships they make at the Summit. If a friend wants to join and spots are still open, that’s awesome! But even if you come solo, you’ll leave with friends for life.
Every crew member over 18 had undergone Ministry of Justice Background Check.
You’ll be given emergency contact numbers for our event crew. If someone needs to reach you and can’t get through to your phone (or if you don’t have one), there will always be someone available for them to contact.
Your registration for NextWave's Youth Leadership Summit is confirmed once full payment is received. If payment isn’t completed before the event starts, the registration will be canceled.
In case of cancellation and refund requests, the following applies:
Refund requests must be submitted in writing with a reason for cancellation.
Payment-processing fees (e.g., bank or merchant fees) are non-refundable.
An administration fee may be deducted to cover the cost of processing the refund.
Since expenses like accommodation and transportation are booked in advance and non-recoverable, refunds will follow this schedule:
Schedule TBD: Full refund minus payment-processing and admin fees.
Schedule TBD: 50% refund minus payment-processing and admin fees.
Schedule TBD: No refunds as all expenses are locked in at this point.
Alternatively, you may roll over your payment to attend the next year, but this request must also be made in writing within the given timeframe.
In the rare case the Summit is canceled (e.g., due to a global pandemic), you can either hold your payment for the next event or request a refund (less processing fees).
For any other questions not covered here, feel free to reach out to our Founder at [email protected]. We’re happy to help!
